Cancellation/Refund

  • Can I cancel my CaratLane Treasure Chest plan at any time?

    The customer may redeem the scheme during the tenure of the scheme; the amount of the monthly instalment deposited by the customer can be redeemed only against the purchase of jewellery. In the event of partial completion of the scheme, no benefit/discount will be provided by CaratLane. Customers shall not be refunded money by way of cheque/ Cash/online transfer.

CaratLane Treasure Chest Edge

  • What is CaratLane Treasure Chest Edge Scheme?

    Under the CaratLane Treasure Chest Edge Scheme, upon the first instalment payment, the quantity of gold units equivalent to the instalment amount divided by the gold rate is allocated to the customer's account. For the second and subsequent instalments, the quantity of gold units is calculated based on the gold rate at the time of each instalment payment and added to the customer's account. The gold rate refers to the 24 Karat 995 Gold Selling rate as listed on the CaratLane website at the specific date and time. For instance, if ₹10,000 is deposited as the first instalment and the gold rate for that day is ₹9,550 per gram, 1.047 gold units (10000/9550) will be saved to the customer's account. On the redemption date, the total quantity accumulated in the customer's account will be redeemed at the prevailing gold selling rate on that specific date and time.

  • What are the benefits of the CaratLane Treasure Chest Edge Scheme?

    The customer will benefit if the gold rate rises above the weighted average rate of their accumulated gold units. Conversely, if the gold rate decreases, the customer will incur a loss. The company will not be liable for any loss resulting from a decrease in the gold rate. However, regardless of whether the gold rate increases or decreases, the customer will continue to receive a benefit or discount equivalent to one installment, as per the CaratLane Treasure Chest Icon Scheme.

  • Can I switch between CaratLane Treasure Chest Schemes during the term?

    The CaratLane Treasure Chest Edge Scheme cannot be converted back to the CaratLane Treasure Chest Icon Scheme either at the time of redemption or at any point during the scheme term. The amount accumulated under the CaratLane Treasure Chest Edge Scheme can only be redeemed for the purchase of diamonds, presets, or loose solitaires.

  • Can I cancel my CaratLane Treasure Chest Edge Scheme?

    The customer cannot cancel the scheme during its tenure. In such cases, the accumulated instalments will be available for redemption once the maturity period begins. The redeemable value will be equal to the gold rate at the date and time of redemption. If the scheme is partially completed, the discount of one month's instalment or any proportionate value will not be provided by the company. The customer will not receive a refund via cheque, cash, or online transfer.

  • Which products are eligible for redemption under the CaratLane Treasure Chest Edge Scheme?

    The CaratLane Treasure Chest Edge Scheme is redeemable only against diamond studded jewellery, Platinum studded, Gemstone studded, presets, loose solitaires & Shaya products. CaratLane Treasure Chest Edge Scheme is not redeemable against any other products except listed above.

  • Can I redeem my CaratLane Treasure Chest Edge on 22KT/Gold Coin/ Unstudded designs?

    You can redeem during your maturity period, but you’ll be eligible to redeem only the gold rate appreciation/depreciation value but not the CaratLane discount.

  • What is enrolment process & benefit of CaratLane Treasure Chest scheme?

    Under the CaratLane Treasure Chest Scheme, the individual is required to make payment for nine fixed monthly instalments. After the payment of the ninth monthly instalment, CaratLane will offer a discount/ benefit as mentioned below (“Discount/ benefit”).In case of purchase of any Diamond / Gemstone Studded / Platinum Studded / Preset Solitaires / Shaya (Silver) Jewellery / loose solitaire, CaratLane will offer a discount equal to the amount of one month instalment.In case of purchase of Plain gold jewellery (unstudded), unstudded Platinum, unstudded Gemstone, CaratLane will offer a discount equal to 50% of the amount of one month instalment.

  • Is it possible to change the monthly amount in between the instalments?

    Once the first instalment is paid, the instalment amount cannot be altered.

  • Where can I check my active CaratLane Treasure Chest plan?

    You can check your CaratLane Treasure Chest value in the My Accounts section.

  • Do you have any auto-debit facilities for monthly instalments?

    Yes, we have auto debit facilities: UPI, Debit & Credit Card.

  • What are the auto debit limitations?

    In case auto debit facility has been availed by the customer, the limit for such auto debit facility shall be as below: Auto Debit on Credit/Debit Card would be available up to a limit of ₹5,000/- per instalment. Auto Debit on UPI ID would be available up to a limit of ₹15,000/- per instalment. Auto debit will be automatically disabled by the company if it fails after three attempts for any reason.

  • Can I open CaratLane Treasure Chest account for my minor daughter?

    Only individuals above the age of 18 can enrol in the CaratLane Treasure Chest Scheme. CaratLane reserves the right to obtain proof for the same from a customer.

  • Can I convert my profile balance to a CaratLane Treasure Chest plan?

    No, that is not possible.

  • Can I open a CaratLane Treasure Chest account with borrowed money?

    The customer cannot participate in the CaratLane Treasure Chest Scheme with his/her borrowed money.

  • Can NRI’s enrol for CaratLane Treasure Chest Icon?

    Entities such as companies, partnership firms, proprietorship concerns or trusts, Hindu Undivided Family (HUF) or NRIs, international users and minors (under the age of 18 years) are not eligible to enrol under the CaratLane Treasure Chest Scheme.

  • Can I make a digital payment at the store?

    Yes, you can pay via UPI, credit or debit card at the store.

  • Do I need a PAN card to enrol for CaratLane Treasure Chest?

    For monthly instalments amounting to ₹19,000/- or above (collectively for all active CaratLane Treasure Chest Scheme), the PAN card of the customer shall be collected as mandatory KYC proof.

Generic

  • What is the minimum amount that I need to set aside every month?

    The customer can participate in the CaratLane Treasure Chest Scheme with a minimum monthly instalment of ₹1,000/- (Rupees One Thousand only) or above, i.e., in multiples of ₹1,000/- (Rupees One Thousand only). It is made clear that no fractional amounts can be paid by a customer in a scheme.

  • When do I need to select my plan?

    The customer has the option to enrol in either the CaratLane Treasure Chest Icon Scheme or the CaratLane Treasure Chest Edge Scheme, on the enrolment date, the customer must select one of these two schemes.

  • What is the maximum amount limit for CaratLane Treasure Chest?

    There is no maximum limit.

  • Can I club two or more CaratLane Treasure Chest accounts with my active account?

    Merging of two CaratLane Treasure Chest Scheme accounts is permitted. Customers may also open and run multiple Treasure Chest Schemes simultaneously.

  • Can I pay in cash every month?

    The CaratLane Treasure Chest Scheme instalments can be remitted via online payment/Credit/Debit cards/UPI methods. Cash payment is accepted to the limit of ₹19,000 per instalment (collectively for all active CaratLane Treasure Chest schemes). The combined total amount across all active schemes should not exceed ₹1,90,000. Note: This limit is applicable only for schemes paid through cash.

Redemption

  • Can I withdraw my paid instalment after 2 months?

    You can only redeem the instalment amount against the purchase of jewellery. In the event of partial completion of the scheme, no benefit/discount will be provided by CaratLane. Customers shall not be refunded money by way of cheque/ Cash/online transfer.

  • What is the redemption window for my CaratLane Treasure Chest balance?

    The redemption window is open for 45 days only. (From the 271st day, the redemption window stays open until the 315th day.)

  • When will I become eligible for the discount/benefit from CaratLane?

    The Customer's redemption window opens after the Cool Off Period (From the 271st day after Cool Off Period, the customer would be able to redeem the CaratLane Treasure Chest scheme)

  • How can I avail the benefits of CaratLane Treasure Chest during redemption?

    The CaratLane Treasure Chest Scheme Value can be utilised to purchase any Diamond / Gemstone / Platinum / Preset Solitaires / Shaya (Silver) Jewellery / loose solitaire. The CaratLane Treasure Chest Scheme cannot be utilised on purchase of 22KT jewellery, Gold coins, Gift cards and, or cannot be utilised to pay ear-piercing or repair services. The CaratLane Treasure Chest Scheme value can be utilised on purchase of Plain gold jewellery (unstudded) subject to Discount/Benefit shall be restricted to 50% of the one month’s instalment.

  • Can I club xCLusive discount points or coupon codes while redeeming my CaratLane Treasure Chest account balance?

    Customers can club coupons or xCLusive points earned from the previous purchase along with the CaratLane Treasure Chest balance at the time of redemption. However, free xCLusive points e.g. points earned via referrals, profile completion, website reviews, promotional points etc., cannot be redeemed with the CaratLane Treasure Chest balance. However, if the customer chooses to redeem the CaratLane Treasure Chest Scheme without discount, the given restriction shall not apply.

  • Can I utilise my special occasions coupons while redeeming CaratLane Treasure Chest?

    Birthday and Anniversary Coupon can be utilised along with CaratLane Treasure Chest Scheme redemption (if available at the time of redemption).

  • Can I club extra discounts from CaratLane with my CaratLane Treasure Chest balance?

    Doctor, Armed Forces, and Payday Promotion Discounts cannot be utilised along with the CaratLane Treasure Chest Redemption Scheme.

  • Can I buy multiple products while redeeming my CaratLane Treasure Chest balance?

    The CaratLane Treasure Chest Scheme value needs to be redeemed completely in one purchase. Partial redemption is not permitted. The customer is allowed to purchase multiple products, but such products have to be billed together.

  • Will late payment affect my CaratLane Treasure Chest account balance?

    A grace period of 10 days will be provided after the due date to make the monthly payment. In case there is a delay in paying the monthly amount within the grace period, the discount provided by CaratLane shall be reduced proportionally to the number of days by which the payment was delayed.

  • Can I redeem only part of my CaratLane Treasure Chest amount?

    No, partial redemption is not permitted.

  • Can a nominee be eligible to redeem on behalf of the enroled person?

    In the event of the death of the enroling individual, the nominee receives that amount. The nominee has to submit the required documents to transfer the CaratLane Treasure Chest Scheme balance to the nominee.

  • Do I have to come to a store to redeem the CaratLane Treasure Chest balance?

    The CaratLane Treasure Chest Scheme can be redeemed online on the website of the company, www.caratlane.com at any CaratLane store or during a try-at-home appointment.

  • Can I place an order for customised/personalised design with CaratLane Treasure Chest account value?

    Yes, you can!

  • How can I pay my balance if I purchase more than my CaratLane Treasure Chest account balance?

    You can use any online payment mode (Debit card / Credit Card / Netbanking / UPI) to pay the balance while redeeming online or at the store. Additionally, cash can also be paid for the remaining balance.
